Interview: Elmer Slot on the pilot with Juvoly

Less administration, more attention to the client

ZekerArbo launches pilot with Juvoly: innovation in practice

At ZekerArbo , it's all about people. About employees who talk to their clients with full attention, without the distraction of endless reporting. But fair is fair: administration is part of the job. Only ... what if it could be done a lot smarter?

That is why ZekerArbo has started a pilot with Juvoly, a Dutch AI tool that automatically transcribes and summarizes conversations. Ten healthcare professionals, company doctors, practice support workers and employability coaches, are participating in this trial. Their mission: less administration, more attention to the person opposite them.

We spoke to Elmer Slot, responsible for innovation, innovation and data use at ZekerArbo since this year. His goal? Taking the organization to the next level, with technology that really adds something.

Working smarter, not harder

"Every time we hear from our healthcare professionals that the administrative pressure is high," Elmer says.
"Much of their time goes into reporting, summaries and reports. Time they would rather spend talking to the client. So we started looking for ways to do that smarter. Juvoly stood out as a promising solution."

What makes Juvoly so special?

Juvoly is not a generic translation engine, but a Dutch startup with its own speech model specially trained on the Dutch language.

"That seems like a detail," Elmer explains, "but it really makes a difference. The system recognizes dialects, medical terms and nuances in conversations much better than international alternatives. And just as important: all data stays in the Netherlands. That's crucial for privacy and AVG compliance."

The pilot: from talk to patterns

Ten ZekerArbo professionals are participating in the first test phase:
four occupational physicians, four practice support workers and two employability coaches.
They use Juvoly to have their conversations automatically transcribed and summarized.

"That's how we get a view of what it really delivers," says Elmer. "How much time do they save? How does their workload change? And what does it do to the quality of contact with clients? Because the latter is ultimately the most important thing."

Less tapping, more listening

The ultimate goal of this pilot is clear: more time for the real conversation.

"When Juvoly helps reduce typing, our professionals can fully focus on their client," says Elmer. "That results in more job satisfaction, as well as better care. And that's exactly what ZekerArbo is all about: helping people be more energetic and vital, without technology getting in the way."

Learning, improving, innovating

The pilot with Juvoly fits perfectly into the broader vision of ZekerArbo: deploying technology where it makes a real difference.

"Any innovation we do must support our people in their work," Elmer emphasizes. "We don't want to innovate for the sake of innovating, but because it contributes to quality, efficiency and job satisfaction. If this pilot is successful, it can permanently improve the way we report and communicate. And that is profit - for our employees, clients and clients."

Learning together with ZekerNext

In the coming period, ZekerArbo will actively share experiences from the pilot through ZekerNext, the innovation team within the organization.

"Every step we take, we do it together with our professionals as well as with Juvoly," Elmer says. "We want to be transparent about what works and what can be improved. Colleagues who are curious or want to think along can always contact ZekerNext. That way we learn together what is possible."
