What is a workplace assessment?
During an individual workplace assessment, which focuses on the physical environment, our experts analyze all relevant factors:
- the workplace
- the work organization
- the way of working
- the physical capacity of the employee
We specifically look at physical activities such as lifting and carrying, pushing and pulling, working postures, repetitive movements, energetic strain, and vibrations. In doing so, we pay attention to postures and movements that may cause complaints but are sometimes necessary to perform the work.
Our expert talks to the employee and observes the work situation on site. Based on this, we provide practical and feasible advice to both the employee and the manager. With appropriate (preventive) measures, we ensure that the employee can work comfortably and with as few complaints as possible.
Understanding physical workload
Physical work places high demands on the body. Think of lifting, pushing, and pulling, working in awkward positions, or repeating the same movement over and over again. In an industrial or logistics environment, or in healthcare, this can quickly lead to complaints. With a physical work workplace assessment, we clearly map this out—for one employee, right on the work floor.
We look not only at the workplace itself, but also at the tools, the organization of the work, and how someone moves and works. This gives us a complete picture of what is going well and what could be improved.

We conduct the computer workstation assessment within two weeks of order confirmation.
