When people work together, great results emerge—and sometimes tensions as well. Minor irritations, misunderstandings, or stalled conversations can, without anyone noticing, escalate into serious conflicts. And it is precisely where there is friction that the seeds of growth are often sown.

Workplace Conflicts as an Opportunity for Growth

During the workshop “Polishing Brings Out the Shine,” we’ll take you on a journey into the world of workplace conflicts. You’ll discover how conflicts arise, how to identify which stage a conflict is in, and—most importantly—which intervention is most effective at which point.

The following topics, among others, will be covered:

• How can you tell where the parties stand in a conflict?
• What causes people to get stuck and lose touch with one another?
• What does it take to shift from acting against one another to acting together?
• Which intervention is appropriate for which situation?
• When can a time-out help create calm, space, and movement?
• When should you choose mediation or group mediation?
• How do you restore communication and work toward a situation in which the parties can move forward together again?

Through clear theory, relatable real-world examples, and concrete interventions, you’ll gain insight into ways to prevent escalation and restore cooperation. From conflict resolution to mediation and group mediation: you’ll learn when each approach is appropriate and how it can contribute to sustainable solutions, job satisfaction, and the prevention of absenteeism.
