Toward a vital organization

Vitality coaching, the approach

Employees who work on their vitality have increased quality of life and work, and dignity, improved lifestyle as well as increased engagement and resilience.

Organizations that get good at this have demonstrably lower Sickness Absence, higher productivity, higher employee engagement and are better at retaining as well as attracting talent.

One of the key interventions that can support organizations on their way to a more vital organization is the use of the vitality coach.

    • The coaching focuses on achieving lasting behavioral change in the employee. The coaching consists of a 1.5-hour intake and 5 hours of coaching hours and will be scheduled by the coach with the employee on a customized time basis (physical/online).
    • The coaching starts with an intake interview in which possible contraindications are also examined by the coach. In this conversation, the motivation, request for help and personal goals are mapped out with the employee.
    • The follow-up sessions focus on the personal plan for structural changes and working toward a healthier and more vital life.
    • Interim assignments are part of the approach.

Vitality coaching focuses on:

  1. Awareness of the importance of vitality and a healthy lifestyle;
  2. Awareness of self-responsibility (self-direction)
  3. Develop knowledge and skills to enhance vitality, remain sustainably employable and enjoy working.

We also focus not on short term results as with diets but on modifying often deeply learned automated (lifestyle) behaviors. Changing this learned behavior requires intensive attention to stop executing existing patterns and to learn new behaviors.
