What does the advice entail?

The company doctor estimates:

Whether the employee can medically recover for own work within 26 weeks.
Whether taxability (relative to the WIA examination) will increase, decrease or remain the same within that period.
This is a prognosis, not a guarantee. The doctor makes a careful assessment, but cannot give any certainty of recovery.

How does it work?

Prior to the consultation

Discuss with your employee that you have submitted a letter of resignation.
Explain that the UWV is asking for a medical opinion and therefore a consultation with the company doctor will follow.
The appointment is preferably scheduled with your own company doctor. If this is not possible, we will engage another company doctor. This requires permission from the employee in connection with access to the medical file.

During the consultation hour

The company physician discusses the employee's health situation and answers the central questions for the UWV recommendation.

After the consultation

The advice will be delivered within 5 working days.
Both you and the employee will receive this in writing.
